2. Description of Service
ButterPDF provides browser-based, client-side document processing software allowing users to merge, split, compress, edit, convert, sign, watermark, and redact portable document format (PDF) files.
3. User Responsibility & Content Ownership
You retain 100% full ownership of any documents you process with ButterPDF. Because files remain strictly on your local device, you are solely responsible for maintaining backup copies of your files and ensuring you possess legal authorization to modify, unlock, or sign any documents submitted to the tools.
4. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellations
ButterPDF offers free access to all core tools with standard file size allowances. Users may upgrade to ButterPDF Pro or ButterPDF Team for enhanced capabilities:
- Billing Cycles: Subscriptions are billed in advance on either a monthly or annual recurring basis.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time directly through your Billing Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the currently paid billing period.
- Refund Policy: If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase by contacting billing@butterpdf.com.
5. Limitation of Liability
ButterPDF is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. In no event shall ButterPDF, its directors, or affiliates be liable for any data loss, document corruption, or indirect damages resulting from the use of our client-side software.
